Talent Jug - Casting Calls and Auditions

(Or you’re a tremendously good sport about it, if you’re my husband and belong to the latter category, and somehow find the generosity and strength of spirit to wander into the living room every so often to ask for Oscar updates. “Crash?!?!? You’re kidding!”)

I think Jackman is an excellent choice. First, you’ve seen him yes? Second, the man is a first-rate stage and musical theatre performer. He’s comfortable with himself (you’ve seen him yes?) and projects a calm and certainty that will serve him well as the emcee of Hollywood’s biggest night. Jackman even won an Emmy in 2005 for hosting the Tony Awards in 2004 and was nominated as host of the Tonys in 2005. He always comes across, too, as an incredibly good sport, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and probably won’t be intimidated by the situation.

All that said, I think Tina Fey should do it.
