Disney Auditions
Disney Auditions and the Discount Mouse
If you’re traveling to Walt Disney World for an audition, you’ll want to make your visit here both beneficial and fun - but you’ll also want it to be as economical as possible. After all, you’re coming to Walt Disney Wold to get a job rather than to spend your entire life savings!
Lori Matthews has written a terrific book about saving money at Disney World that we highly recommend. With the catchy title of “Discount Mouse”, the book outlines some inside information on how to get the most out of your Disney audition trip.
You can learn more by visiting her Discount Mouse Website!
Musicians Needed at Florida’s Walt Disney World
WDW Professional Musician Auditions
Ready to audition? Approximately 300 musicians can be heard daily in the various resorts and theme parks.
Performing on both indoor and outdoor stages, WDW professional musicians perform in show bands, marching bands, and drum and bugle corps to name just a few. Walt Disney World routinely hires accomplished brass and woodwind professionals, percussionists, ragtime pianists, harpists, steel drummers… even mariachi musicians.
The sky really is the limit for instrumentalists and here’s your chance to audition!
Professional musician auditions are held bi-monthly in the Central Florida area. Sight reading is required. Audition appointments can be made by calling Central Florida Musicians Association at (407) 894-8666*.
These auditions are held to cast seasonal musicians for Walt Disney World® Resort as well as contract musicians for Tokyo Disney Resort.

Get Discovered at Disney’s American Idol Attraction in Florida
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has created a live performance venue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that’s based on the hit “American Idol” TV show.
According to Disney Parks chairman Jay Rasulo,
“Our goal is to try to recreate the excitement of those 24 people who show up on that ‘American Idol’ stage. We believe many, many viewers want to know exactly how that feels, and we’re going to try to reproduce that feeling for them.”
The attraction is located in the Hollywood Studios’ theater space that was previously occupied by the “Doug Live!” and “Superstar Television” attractions.
