disney's big opportunity

Disney has churned out star, after star over the years! But, the Disney Casting Call
opportunity isn't just for kids! With theme parks, films, television shows, hotels, and
much, much more ............ the opportunity with a good paying job in Disney makes these
casting calls worth showing up to! If you get the chance to show up for an open audition
for this company, take it! It could lead to many different successes! Disney has the
need for many different types of actors and performers. Everything from stunts, to
singing groups, to all types of performers! What ever your art is, Disney could possibly
have a place for you in their auditions!

Even if you feel you may not be interested in this sort of opportunity, let's take a look at
the bigger picture. As I have said many times before, EVERY audition is the chance for
you to get to perform your craft. It's a chance to not only perform, but, also, a chance to
practice in front of other people! Plus, you get another chance in your career to be in the
presence of professionals in your industry.

So, now that you have gotten the call, and you are to report to your Disney casting, what
do you do? How do you handle yourself? How do you land that job?

When you arrive at your casting call, make sure you listen carefully to what the director
is asking of you. Introduce yourself to the others in the audition room. While you
are waiting to be seen by the director, get to know some of the others performers in the
room. This takes some of the tension off of yourself and others. Of course, you will
be prepared, because you are just going to have fun with the directors and find out what
they want. But, those other people that are getting ready to audition, don't see them as
competition. Don't sit there and compare yourself to them. In fact, don't ever compare
yourself to anyone else. You are unique!

So, in the mean time, you have a huge opportunity sitting with you in that casting
room. By getting to know some of the other people on the call, you are networking.
Networking is so important in the acting business. I really can't stress this enough! So,
this is just one of the MANY huge opportunities at Disney's castings.

One other quick tip that I will leave you with in closing that audition is to breathe! Don't
forget to breathe! If you feel like you are holding your breath at any point, don't be
afraid to take several deep breathes. When you pull up in your car, and you have parked
your car, take several breathes with your eyes closed before you even get out of your car .
This is going to make you much more even.

Now, I don't think I need to say this, but, I will remind you one more time. HAVE
FUN!! Always enjoy yourself at every opportunity that lands in your lap.
